I drew this on Photoshop yesterday afternoon while I was sleepy and was in a place where it isn’t okay to sleep. I guess this can fit in on my “An Artwork A Day” thing, but I am going to stop counting them. I have a lot more drawings but I haven’t posted or scanned them yet. Too busy.
yes it’s unfinished. I was really sleepy. haha
this is how messy I normally draw. . . but I draw faster this way.
And I was too sleepy to care. Somehow I want to keep this messy style because I am most comfortable with this style. Loose and free. I don’t really care whether people will like or hate this style. I know there are probably people who are into this.
My friend suddenly commissioned me to make this digital portrait for his friend.
This is the first digital painting that I did in a very long time.
I hope that the pretty girl likes it. 🙂
This is the first digital painting/portrait that I finished (because the first one I did still isn’t finished.).
I did this as a take home test for a job that I didn’t get.
I guess my work wasn’t enough. . . or, as usual, there’s so much competition.
It took me 6 hours.
I used Adobe Photoshop CS6
I was instructed to only paint the face and so I didn’t touch the rest of his body and background.
this is the reference I chose from the ones that they sent.
They have certain guidelines like: the colors I am only allowed to use, not too many details, and make them look prettier
-from what I can remember. (it was years ago)
I’m not so sure if I followed it correctly. hahaha. I might have added too many wrinkles – can’t help it, I always like bringing out flaws.
I remembered one of the bosses smirking when he saw what I was doing when they asked me to demo after the job interview. But this take home test came after that.
I still like traditional painting better than digital.
I did this on June 6.
I figured I haven’t drawn digitally (using my laptop and pen tablet, not my android tablet) for a long time. This is a cartoon version of my lost cat.
To all the mothers out there,
Happy Mothers Day! 🙂
I’m pondering if I’ve finally found my unique (hopefully) artistic style that I shall further improve and stick with. I know that every artist should have his/her own signature style that will make him/her different from others.
Is this okay?
I did this style with my recent works. I know I need to further improve my human anatomy. So I’m still studying and observing what I can see.
I used Autodesk Sketchbook Pro (for tablets) on my Galaxy Note 8.0.
The next thing I’m gonna do is to try this style in traditional means.
And tomorrow, I shall work on my friends portrait again. These past couple of days has been busy with family activities.
Dear Friend (I think she might be reading this): I’ll work on it tomorrow!
(And I won’t say “I promise”) =P
“I almost forgot I’m allergic to seafood.”
I was testing my limits with seafood at dinner. I was well aware that my doctor said that I am allergic to seafood. Sometimes I couldn’t believe it myself. And so I ate what I think is a lot and then I begin to feel the food having difficulty sliding down my throat. . . so that’s how it feels. Later it became a little bit harder to breathe. :)))
I ate a teaspoon of brown sugar and drank a mug of sweet warm milk when I got home. Slowly but surely, I felt better.
For this, I used Autodesk Sketchbook Pro (for tablets) on my Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet.
I should get myself some hard pastels and try this style for real. Last night, I tried it on the Line Brush app where there’s a “hard pastel” brush. With Sketchbook Pro, I just adjusted a pencil brush setting so it’ll look as if I used hard pastels. . . or something.
I haven’t tried hard pastels for real, I haven’t seen some of those in the art shops I used to go to (or maybe I haven’t asked), and there’s definitely none of those in non-specialty shops. But one of these days, I’ll check.
I just saw Frozen again, I watched it with my brother.
I still got “Let it Go” stuck in my head.
I used Autodesk Sketchbook Pro on my Galaxy Note 8.0
Just got home. It’s late so I just did a quick sketch using the Line Brush app on my Galaxy Note 8.0
I’m not very late, right?
It’s midnight, so basically it’s already March 16, but this should still count as an artwork for today, for the day March 15. Come on. Haha.
