Setting Up Shops

I don’t want to just let my artworks/creations sit on my harddrive or just seen on my blog and other sites. I’ve always wanted to sell my work in prints on different products. I thought the only way is to save enough money and produce all these products myself.

When I had a realization that what I want is to really be an illustrator, I began googling a lot of things like “how to earn money as an illustrator”, “how to survive as an illustrator” . . . stuff like that.

I want to make a living or just live the rest of my life doing the things that I love. . . because doing the things you love doesn’t feel like work and when it doesn’t feel like work, it doesn’t drain you. And when you like or love what you are doing, you tend to deliver better work. Success will come.

From all my googling I have discovered Society6, Redbubble, and Threadless. They’ve all been around for a long time but they’re not based in this country so I guess I really wouldn’t know until I search. I would have joined them years ago. . . but then again. . . years ago, my work doesn’t look as okay or good or awesome. Haha!

I decided to sign up on all of them and compare on which site I would be able to sell more (if I ever sell at all 😥 hopefully I would.). They all offer a wide range of products but some products aren’t available on some or one of the sites. The good thing about these sites is that artists retain their rights to their artwork, meaning they are free to do whatever they want with their artworks (so they are free to put one particular artwork on sale on all of those sites at the same time -more chances of selling!)

So far I have just uploaded one artwork because I have to edit the sizes each time and it eats up a lot of time. Meanwhile I am rescanning some existing artwork (I have more traditional artwork than digital) that I think looks good on print to add to my shops.

These are my shop urls:

and I also still have my Deviantart:

I’m going to upload a lot of stuff in the coming days so I will be really busy.

If you guys like what you see, feel free to purchase them and/or share my links to people interested. It’ll help me A LOT. Sharing is caring! 🙂

There’s also this site I got invited to but I haven’t submitted any design yet so I’m only going to share it after I’ve finished setting up. 🙂
